How to know when a package will arrive at FedEx?
When you make a purchase, the shipper gives you an estimated ship date and/or arrival date. Sometimes your package ships early. When it arrives at our facility, it is sorted to the correct delivery route and goes out on the delivery truck in the morning. Many times we get the package sooner than promised, but we don’t routinely hold onto it for a particular delivery date. If you follow your shipment info online and believe your package will arrive sooner than you want, you can contact FedEx and provide your tracking number, and ask that the package be held at the terminal for your pick-up. All packages get delivered by the day that they are due provided they make it to the final station in time. Late freight that gets to the station after all couriers have left may be held depending on the time it makes it to the station. But if a package that is due Thursday, for instance, arrives at the station Wednesday, typically it is up to the actual courier to determine whether they take it on road. They base this decision on how heavy they are today and how heavy they anticipate being the following day. It also varies based on managements discretion to only deliver packages that are due that day, along with reattempts from the previous day OR to take everything on road. This changes all of the time, sometimes with no reason given. However, the biggest reason is to give the customer what they paid for. This reasoning should make perfect sense, but I was always having to explain it to customers. No one would go to a restaurant, ordering a hamburger and then expect to get a steak, but it happens all of the time with delivery companies. I paid for three day service because it was a LOT cheaper than the next day, but if my package comes in the next day you should have to bring it to me. That doesn’t really make sense does it? If the package is showing at the final station, you should, in most cases, be able to call and go pick it up though. The only other reason is for international packages being held up in Customs. That is something that no carrier has control over.

Great people and very manageable work load
I cannot say enough about the people at FedEx, managers and other coworkers alike. Their helpfulness and friendliness made going to work each day all the more enjoyable. Work load is more than doable and on nights where freight was heavier, you never truly had the sense of being overwhelmed thanks to help received from your coworkers.

The Start and end times vary and are not consistent which is not reliable. But overall this is a good company to work for with potential to grow. But hours could be better.
Cool coworkers
Okay place to work, the work & pay doesn’t add up. Come in load truck (exhausting). May not leave terminal at the same time everyday. Never know how your day is going to go until you get there.

They pay well and hours are flexing however no one cares about you. Everyone is replaceable. Attendance policy is lenient as well as tardy. Just pays the bills.

Really good pay, Coworkers can be weird
just hop in trucks with random people who may give you a dirty look if your unlucky. DO NOT expect to have any type of regular conversation with most of the people they are like walking zombies, seriously. Great pay all year round besides after Christmas where you work like 2 hours a day with the first shift starting at 2pm!!!
They lie to get you in the door
They claim to offer good pay and flexible hours but they only give you a fraction of what they promise. I love labor jobs but they work you like a dog for little pay. I ended up quitting after a work injury that they refused to pay for.
