Peak season

Good job for a couple weeks during peak season. Worked in Wales this summer and had a good time, made some memories. Baby shark is in my head as well as the seaside squad song, but apart from that the job is decent as well as the hours and the pay isn’t too bad once you factor in tips.

Emotionally and mentally draining

This place pays very little for the sheer hard work put in especially on check in days. Management is vindictive and the team members don't work well as a team causing the guest to feel the negativity and responsibility for mistakes are never excepted causing tension.

Corporate

Staff are expected to work long hours and the pay is totally unacceptable for managers. The pay is just about minimum wage and the general manager is poor.

Busy

Management changed frequently so the restaurant was unorganised, I can't speak for it now. Staff were mostly friendly with good camaraderie but the pay was minimum wage and little to no benefits, hours during peak season were long.

Started out so well

I'd worked for haven last year, it was great in all aspects, went back this year to have my hours cut and not worth going in despite my contract stating set hours. It cost more for travel and childcare than what I was earning

Good people to work with

It’s was a very good job and I have got a lot of confidence from the job cause i was interrupting with people and getting compliments from people. I was always trying my best every time i went to work.

an ok place to work

I worked here for some months i had no problems with the staff there the only downfall was the travelling the train was costing almost £100 a week not including money i needed for food ect, because of this it led to me having to leave which is unfortunate the roll i had to be brutally honest was a good paying job and if you get the training they provided to become a lifeguard then expect late hours and early starts even if trains are cancelled and you dont get home until 1AM they still want you in the next day at 7AM (which is a little unreasonable) but all and all it was an ok place to work..
