Results

The characteristics of the subjects who participated in the long-term study are shown in Table 1. The mean age of the subjects was 51.4 ± 0.91 yr.

Discussion

In this study we reported long-term efficacy and safety data of continuous application of T gel (AndroGel) on the skin for more than 2 yr in 77% of 123 hypogonadal men. Because of the long duration of the study, the study design allowed dose adjustment throughout the study that occurred in about 20% of the subjects.
