Thank you so much. Yes, for <$16 per day, I think the better bedding would make the difference. The flowers/hors d'ouvres/fruit/etc. seems unnecessary, and I got an umbrella and tote bag, along with early embarkation and very quick luggage delivery last time WITHOUT going CC.

We had a SS on our 13 night Panama trip in Feb -- TRUST ME-- the extra space alone is well worth the extra $$. On a cruise that long, it is really east to start stepping all over each other, and the extra square footage is really nice.

The only attraction for us is the extra real estate and the cabin location.

Can you have lunch on a ship?

Seems to us we can have lunch anywhere on the ship. As long as our key card opens our door or gets us on and off the ship we could care less what it's marking designation is.

Do the C1 cabins connect to the RS next door?

The 2 you identified are also connecting cabins with the RS next door so will have the interior connecting door. The other 2 C1's on deck 6 are a bit more desirable as they are not connecting. I believe all 4 of them on deck 6 are a touch wider so there is a bit more space at the end of the bed.

Is the concierge on the edge the same as the IV?

I guess that depends on what ship. Most of the Concierge on the Edge are identical to the IV rooms. The biggest difference for me at least was the higher floor. The only reason I went Concierge again on my next cruise on the Edge was that it was cheaper at the time than an IV room.
