Productive and inclusive work environment, good pay and benefits. Wish it was remote or full time availiabilty but over all a good position to build from.

Great pay but you more than earn it

A typical day at work is taking anywhere between 80-100 calls during 7.5 hours of logged in mode. There are a lack of resources, supervisors will flat out tell you they do not want to take escalated callbacks.

Con ed is a cut throat business

If your working at Coned beware, Its not the company I use to know. It was already bad when I was hired and it got worse after they let me go. If the plant manager fires you before Xmas over a minor mistake (that was easily corrected) than this is the company to avoid. Pay was excellent as well as benefits and getting time off was not that bad.

This company used to be a lifetime job, they have a pension, 401k, great medical benefits. This company is extremely diverse and very representative of the people of NYC but they started to let the social politics into the company and created an environment where you are afraid to say anything to anyone bc someone will be offended.

Good internship to get you started

This internship gave a lot of professional experience and time to see what it's like in an actual workplace. It teaches you how to behave in the real world and what to expect of life in post graduate. However, most of the work you will do is busy work to do for the other engineers.

Company strong on safety a priority. Always busy but no stress like corporate American. Work always continues next day so stress and work life balance is great. As far as making a lot of money, you not going to get rich, but you will always have a job.
