What is Snap in Virginia?
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a program to reduce hunger and increase food security. SNAP provides supplemental assistance to eligible individuals and families needing help in buying nutritious food. SNAP can be used like cash to buy eligible food items from authorized retailers.
