When will the SNAP benefit increase?
Temporary SNAP Benefit 15% Increase. From January 2021 to September 2021, all SNAP recipients will receive a 15% SNAP benefit increase. For example, a family of three that received $535 a month will receive a payment of $616. The changes to SNAP listed below last as long as a public health state of emergency remains in place at the federal level.
How much is emergency food assistance in 2021?
As of April 2021, a change was made that requires the temporary emergency supplemental food assistance benefit a household receives to be at least $95 in additional benefits.
How much is the emergency benefit for July?
Going forward, households will receive at least $95 in emergency benefits or the maximum temporary benefit for your household size, whichever is greater. For July, these additional emergency benefits will be available when your regular SNAP benefits are available.
