In 2017, I selected four upgrade certificates as one of my Choice Benefits options. I wasn’t sure how they’d work, and initially I realized I hadn’t read the fine print – they don’t work on international flights (boo), and they didn’t (until April 2018) work on many major trans-continental flights (like the one I most often take from NYC to SFO).
